Waterjet cut mirror on wood

200 x 80 x 5 cm

An artwork commissioned for an exhibition at National Glass Centre, Centre utilised aerial footage from a drone flight to capture a view from above. The artwork, a large mirror was then positioned within the same building, reflecting both its interior views and the viewer within the architecture.

Commissioned for the Cheong-Ju International Craft Biennale, an urban ‘portrait’ of Cheong-ju described through its modernist architecture. The artwork is an isometric drawing of the old tobacco factory that was the site for the exhibition.

Centre, a façade modelled on a historically contested high-rise building in London, is a large-scale cut and assembled glass sculpture consisting of over 4000 unique parts. The innovative process behind the work is the use of waterjet cutting on kilnformed glass to create low relief surfaces, fused together using precisely controlled kiln firing.
